Expertise

Jo has extensive training experience, including managing training departments in two global Contract Research Organisations. She can therefore provide services in the following areas:

  • Design and delivery of training programmes
  • Training Needs Analysis
  • Training Strategy Development
  • One-to-one coaching for training staff

Jo is also the author of the book "Managing your own Professional Development, published by the Institute of Clinical Research.

Soft Skills

Jo has developed and delivered a wide range of soft skills programmes. Examples of these include Time Management, Communication and Presentation skills, Interpersonal skills and a range of line and project management skills. Courses can be delivered off-the-shelf or tailor made for your specific needs.

Clinical Research

Jo is a pharmacology graduate and began her career in clinical research in 1987 with a year in a phase I unit and then 5 years as a CRA and senior CRA. She has been involved, full time, in clinical research training since 1992. Her career has included experience in the pharmaceutical industry and the CRO world. As a clinical research trainer Jo has worked internationally, covering both ICH and FDA requirements. She has also recently been involved in providing training on the new EU Clinical Trials Directive.

Jo is a training and development enthusiast with a commitment to ensuring that any training provided meets the client's needs, in terms of both business objectives and individual personal goals.
